Port Moody

the pier at Rocky Point Park is not fancy, but does provide a viewpoint at the end...on the rocky shore, another mother checks her mobile device, while the kids are left to their own devices

Port Moody is wrapped around the eastern end of Burrard Inlet....some of the northern portion can be seen across the water

What a nice place for those folks to be.
It was nice for you also to have them in this awesome and beautiful composition.

I like that old pier, I bet it could tell some stories...

I like this kind of pier ! The old wooden structures look like some old Japanese bridges. V.

Whatever is on the phone sadly has her attention more than her kids and the lovely view. V

I like the photo and I like the setting and the composition but I would have been happier if the photo showed the mom interacting with her child and dog. Alas, you had no control of that. Makes me wonder what the long range issues will be with our attachment to mobile phones. By the way, that's a beautiful light on that dock too.

Ah.....the mobile device, an everyday scene no matter where you go.

This is a lovely park in Pt Moody - it's nice how it serves the community. My son used to live just up the road. Super shot of the wharf and folks enjoying summer. V

Nice inclusion of the lady checking her cell
phone amongst this pretty point.

A sign of the times with the woman and her cell phone. The pier also makes a very interesting shot. Very nicely composed image.

Ah the ever present cell phone- with her back turned to her daughter.

Cool composition. Like the look of the pier at low tide. So glad my mother had no cell phone when I was a little Walter.

Can't get away from those cellphones...they seem to have become an attached appendage to one's hand! Sadly we are so addicted to these things but then in these times it might just be a good thing.

Great picture of the pier, and the mother checking her cellphone is certainly the way things are these days.
