Southlands

occupied by Musqueam people since 400BC, Southlands saw the arrival of Europeans during the 1860's...since the 1940's it has been largely occupied by the horsey set, who keep the area, next to the Fraser, in a semi-rural state

Those flowers (buttercups?) are a lovely counterpoint to the dark greens of the trees and the bright blue sky...I like the perspective in this shot, nicely done David

Very picturesque. Our local horsey set now are the only homes with land. Everything else is gone to subdivisions and redundant shopping centers. :( V

I’m glad it’s been kept as it is and not turned into track housing. It’s such a lovely scene. V

Nicely composed, one more thing we can thank the horsey set for!

Great leading lines, and a beautiful scene with all the wildflowers, although that enclosed area looks a bit overgrown.

A lovely rural scene and it looks like a nice area for horse riding. Like the use of the fence as a guiding line in this great composition V!

Like the view with the buildings, rider and wildflowers. Nice use of the fence for your composition, and good the horsey set is keeping this from being developed.
