restless friends organized three get-togethers over the weekend, but it seemed wise enough to remain aloof a while longer, just to avoid a case of the Delta Variant Blues

Really nice with encompassing the natural surroundings. I like your term of the "Delta Blues", especially with many people having only their first vaccine dose, they may be lulled into a sense of false security since one dose only provides partial immunity. Luckily two doses should do the trick. v

Wise words indeed, the Delta variant is building up a head of steam here - I wouldn't be surprised if we have another lockdown or re-introduction of restrictions
