just off the beach swimmers brave the cold water, suitably clad in wet suits with open water swim buoys attached...their bold colours serve to increase the swimmer's visibilty to speeding boaters, and help a bit with flotation

That takes some dedication. Interesting about the buoy. It's winter. I'm chilled just thinking about swimming in a river... and frightened at what I would look like in a wet suit. :)

The swimmer’s colors are nice and bright. I don’t think I would be going in that water, even with a wet suit! Very cool the way the clouds are just hanging over the mountains.

Cool view with the low clouds in the background. I just checked your ocean temperature an it is 6C. Quite dangerous conditions, obviously only for the experienced and/or brave.
