uniformity

Port Coquitlam

certainly people need somewhere to live, but preserving natural areas is also important...the community here displays not only density, but also a tedious uniformity of design...developers must have profited well on this project

Don't care for this. It affects the quality of life. There is plenty of this tract housing in SoCal. Good documentary image David.

They are all getting their share of sunshine. V

Yup, not much imagination at work there.

This is a most compelling and interesting view!
As always you are a master storyteller.
I am intrigued how close people chose to live together and with such uniformity.

Uniformity of this housing may be not attractive but the residents have a great view. !!V

Ugly and very boring housing developments are all over in this our modern world David - too bad.
Charlene Ambrose14-Feb-2021 01:43
It does seem very dense and too uniform but at least it isn't a high-rise.
LynnH14-Feb-2021 01:37
Certainly not an imaginative design. Not for me. V

Track homes are everywhere. They lack the charm and character of cities and encroach on wild areas. This is well documented. V
Nirvan Hope13-Feb-2021 21:56
At least it's not as dense as high-rise apartments! Plus, I'm betting, a great view.
Mairéad13-Feb-2021 21:08
The density looks very high but I'm sure it's a desirable place to live given the
nice view they must have.

Not the prettiest of plantations!

Housing looks the same everywhere in NA now, streetscapes in new subdivisions are usually utterly boring and tediously the same, as here. A fine contrast between the natural and the built environments. V

Fine capture of these houses overlooking the nature area. Surprising how uniform in design they are given that they don't look like cheap housing.
