looking back

Canyonlands NP, Utah

it's the last day of the year, astronomically speaking (if only our flawed calendar would get it right), so perhaps a day for looking back...the past year has been a weird one, with life so disrupted, and among other realities travel abroad has been out of the question...perhaps 2021 will offer the better conditions we would all like to see, and more opportunities to explore well beyond the bubble

thanks to Dan for sending along this image, a reminder of the many days previously spent south of the border, and the friends who offered such treasured company

After what seems week of being too busy to really look at other people's images, imagine my surprise of coming to your page and seeing one of my own images. That whole trip was a great adventure. I too sit back and look at this whole year and am blown away by how much the world has changed and how much our future lives will be governed by what has already happened. I very much want to travel and meet up again too.

Classic David - deep thought - before aiming and firing the shutter.
And thoughts as we are about to pass the Earth's maximum tilting point and await 2021's events.
