superlatives

Vancouver is often spoken of in terms of superlatives, and once again it tops another list...yesterday the city was identified as currently having the worst air quality in the world, ahead of Portland, Seattle, Delhi, San Francisco, Los Angeles and, down in 7th spot, Beijing

westerly winds were forecast for tomorrow, blowing the smoke away to neighbours in Alberta...the latest report now suggests clearing by Friday is more likely

Hope Vancouver will lost quickly this first place ! No doubt that Delhi and Beijing will do their best to fight for this place :)

That's one superlative you can no doubt do without David. So tragic all those fire south of you.

Our people here in the North Central U.S. are currently
experiencing smoky skies from the west coast fires too.

Does look pretty bad. Interesting to see the buildings going up. V

I didn't know that! Hard to believe it's worse that US west coast cities but the proof in in the photo. Hope the wind blows it away. On a good note, it looks like the leaves are starting to change.

So sad. I hope the skies will clear up and the fires be at least contained.

Wow! That’s horrible. I hope it clears up soon. Your photo documents the situation well. V

Tired of not seeing the sun, though one definitely adapts to viewing interesting photo ops! Still 'very unhealthy air quality' warnings here.

What a familiar sight- ugh!

That's pretty much how it has looked here for the last nine days. We are also hoping for winds that will blow the smoke inland.

j'espère que vous pourrez bientôt à nouveau respirer ! v

I must say that's pretty shocking. I hope you won't be able to take this same picture tomorrow.
