Nicomen Slough

the recent images were all made east of Vancouver in the Fraser Valley, here seen across Nicomen Slough from Dewdney...the slough is a remnant side channel of the Fraser River, and is popular with fishermen after Coho and Chum salmon, Rainbow and Cutthroat trout, Dolly Varden, crayfish, Northern Pikeminnow..it also has a conservation area to provide habitat for migratory birds and to protect some endangered species
