lockdown

seems as if the entire world is in lockdown, and some people are cracking under the strain...curious choices too for gradual re-opening...in the southern states nail salons are in business again, yet not clothing stores, tattoo parlours are good to go, yet not bookstores...odd priorities there

This portrays our current situation very well. As someone who has many tattoos and has unfinished ones due to the virus, I’d rather have the tattoo shops back open. Salons need to open too. I guess everyone has their priorities. V

Living in one of those states I will agree with you. BAFFLED! You ought to be here!
What an incredible metaphor for the times is depicted here!
Genius!

Thought-provoking as we have no blueprint for this pandemic. VV

a wonderful image, fine reflections!
the priorities for the reopening of certain stores are strangely established in a somewhat bizarre way.

I love the subject matter here, it give pause. Pretty much everything is open in Sweden. Who know what is the correct way.

Fantastic image well reflective of our difficult and confusing times David. ODD choices for sure are being made. Do some of our politicians have any brains?

Hmmm. So judging from the reflection, this must be an office building on the moon. Is the moon a safe place to be these days, or has the virus spread up there too?

Great shot. Yes the choice for things like tattoo parlors and bowling alleys really mystify me. ~BV~

I guess if you can't buy clothes then it will be easier to show off your tats and nails. This image is so impressive and well done.

Fascinating image with all the reflections, and right-on narrative. I don't understand the decisions that are being made, but I'm sure this country will suffer even more because of them.

A wonderful and thoughtful image that speaks to our new and different way of life. I also find many decisions being made in various states in their dealing with the pandemic totally illogical and very possibility dangerous. I am not sure some of the political leaders in the US look at the long term consequences of their actions. I fear a second wave or rebound of the virus is highly likely. The economy is really bad now but a rebound would set any recovery back well into next year and the cost in lives would be totally unacceptable. We need to use science and not politics to govern decision making.

Three businesses that remained open here are: Liquor Stores, Gun Shops and Marijuana Dispensaries.
I would be surprised if there are any bookstores to open. They are unfortunately a thing of the past.

A moist intriguing image, David, top notch indeed. Yers, odd choices. I hope for all of them that there is no surge in infections as those choices require very close contact.
