Eridanus

Dollarton, North Vancouver

the BC coast is not everyone's idea of paradise, but to Malcolm Lowry this particular stretch of it in Dollarton, where he lived for 14 years, was an earthly paradise, which he even referred to as Eridanus...while here he wrote prodigiously, including many poems, the novel October Ferry To Gabriola, and most notably his masterpiece, Under The Volcano

A fine composition. Paradise is - almost - everywhere when you see the place with an open mind... This one look not so dangerous as under a volcano. :) V.

That's interesting, I didn't know he wrote Under The Volcano there (one of my fave books BTW) - well, you learn something everyday :o)
