time

measuring time has been a human obsession for millennia...of course the numbers assigned are all arbitrary...tonight we once again have to turn back the clocks in order to adopt 'standard time', a four month period, in stark contrast to the annual eight months of 'daylight savings time'...not sure if such major decisions should be entrusted to politicians (or managers for that matter)...at any rate decided to wind up my only watch just to have a baseline, although it will be off by one hour in the morning!!....luckily it is always time for a Guinness

I hate when it gets dark at 5. It’s always noon somewhere......I’d per an IPA. I really like this composition. V

Completely agree with your sentiment, enjoy the guinness.

I love your old timepiece

You don't need a watch to tell you when its time for a Guinness.

Great composition. It takes almost an hour to figure out how to change all the times in the car, watch, various devices, clocks etc. Maybe we should just toss them all away and retreat at sunset, reappear at dawn.

une composition originale ! v

Fortunately the times imposed on us by those who do such things never conform with Guinness time. Cheers David!

Creative my friend! v

Neat image and caption Dave.

Any time is ok for a brew or two! Agree with you on the silly clock changing. V

A superb presentation for the changing ! We do same in France since 1976.V.

I wonder whether our smartphones automatically adjust....love your timepiece....V

I think like Jim Coffman… Nice creation! V!

we did it last weekend. There has been controversy in Europe over the last few months about this practice.V.

What'd happen if we just DIDN'T set the clocks back? Yes, annoying on all accounts!
Neil Marcus04-Nov-2018 02:09
I presume that you will be there before last call. That is an very nice timepiece."V"

There's Guinness time and then there is the other time, and you have depicted both very well! V
LynnH04-Nov-2018 01:36
I agree with Jim. I dislike the time change. It will be dark when I leave work at 6 p.m. I'm not a morning person. :)

What a cool time piece, and always handy to let you know when to quench your thirst.
Gill Kopy04-Nov-2018 00:58
Annoying that daylight saving disrupts Guinness Time - at 2 pm ????? :)
1moremile04-Nov-2018 00:45
An extra hour of bar time. Nice presentation.
Helen Betts04-Nov-2018 00:29
Interesting juxtaposition and commentary. I'm not sure why we follow both daylight saving time and standard time. Seems like one would be enough!

Very clever image for tonight's time change. I went to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin. Very expensive to take a tour, but they treat you to a pint at the end. :-)
Don Mottershead03-Nov-2018 23:44
Look on the bright side: one extra hour of drinking tonight!
Jim Coffman03-Nov-2018 23:23
I absolutely hate changing time! ! Go have your Guinness . :))
