the several riverside paths in the Southlands area were established, and are maintained, by local riding stables...here novices, like this teenage girl, can amble along, exercise the horses, and experience the vagaries of local weather all year round...this young person was shy, but readily agreed that it was a wonderful, foggy day...she was also one of the few people who braved the cold, damp weather here
