European Ash

a closer look at one of the first trees in the park to turn colour...the leaves are evidently appealing to goats, cows, and rabbits...not sure how rabbits reach them though...the ash tree's wood is useful for shock absorbing handles of things like axes, and also the bodies of electric guitars such as the Fender Stratocaster...Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and Buddy Guy surely appreciate that

Such lovely fall colours - am sure the park bans goats, cows, etc. - luckily. Interesting that ash is popular for electric guitars - I would have thought synthetic material was used !
