wind

along Hwy 12, west of Pomeroy, Washington

any true Vancouverite complains regularly about the weather, no matter what the conditions...usually the whining centres (understandably) around extensive winter rains, yet hot temps also provoke a reaction....yesterday's caption exemplifies this...Dan shrewdly observed that coastal humidity exacerbates the heat effect, yet in addition a lack of wind can also make the hot air seem stale and cloying...today temps will reach into the low 80s fahrenheit/high 20s centigrade

Love the textures and layers in this amazing image. Your really selected a superb POV for this capture. I also like the message that this image conveys. Technology in this case is beautiful and really needed. VV

You've caught both the generation and transmission of electricity admirably, David. Excellent work.

I like the simplicity of this image. I like the elegance of wind turbines (sure beats coal mines...)

I live in a coastal place with heavy humidity from the sea breeze. It makes it feel about 10 degrees hotter, they say. I like the rolling hills and mown grass in this simple image. Appealing. V

Not the most pleasant sight, but necessary. Your image makes them look good. Nicely composed from this vantage point. "V"

Very striking capture with such great light on the turbines. It was 80F here today and pleasant, for Washington, anyway.

Terrific how the bright lines of the wind turbines stand out against the sky and how the soft tan anchors the scene.
