planetarium

Kits Point

the planetarium is now known as the HR MacMillan Space Centre, yet can't shake off the older designation...the Museum of Vancouver occupies the ground floor here...drifted by to check out the store in order to pick up a pair of solar glasses, thinking ahead to this summer's big eclipse event....alas, the in-house shop is poorly stocked these days, with almost nothing relating to astronomy

dating from 1968, the building has been nicknamed the 'taj mahal on the creek', although in truth that seems a bit of a stretch

from tomorrow will be offline for a few days, gadding about once again...should come back with a few fresh pix though
