sidewinder

buzzing and bobbing about, boom boats, also known as dozers, or sidewinders, snake their way through mill-bound logs, shuffling, sorting, and stacking them for subsequent processing into commercial lumber

this is another shot taken from the MV Native, a paddlewheeler that runs tours on the river, in this case sailing east from New Westminster

I'm amazed they still use this form of transporting logs - IMHO not an environmentally friendly system :( A neat shot tho' - must be a fun job !
