mundane

at first glance this is a mundane scene, yet for me it has huge significance...my landlord has decided to sell the house I rent from him, and cash in on Vancouver's crazy (a modest 2 bedroom stucco bungalow in a quiet, leafy residential area apparently worth $3 million, largely for the property/location) real estate market...one key step in readying the property for sale was removing an old (circa 1930s) oil tank in the back yard...that has now been done, as seen here...seems I will have to move house this year...in fact within the next six months

I am so sorry to hear that Paul has decided to sell. Mainly for the impact it has on you, and to a much lesser degree the fact that the house is likely to be razed with some modern dwelling disconnected from the unique housing of Vancouver's history.

Three million...wow and I thought New York estate was high! Sorry to hear you have to move. That's a big undertaking.

Oh no, I am sorry to hear this. I just read a lengthy article about exactly the sort of thing you are talking about in Vancouver. No way I could afford to live in Vancouver again.

I feel I've gotten to know your house and neighborhood over the years, and even your neighbors. What a drag to have to move. Hope you find a space that will be comfortable for you very soon.

Oh My! Urban sprawl $$ is taking away all that's familiar and cozy from people. Hope you can find some peace. V

Oh no, sorry to hear you'll have to move! Seems you live in a lovely neighborhood, and I'm sure it will be distressing to leave.

I am sorry to hear that. Moving is such a hassle especially when not voluntary.

Oh no! I guess that means a bit of inconvenience for you. Its a great shot with excellent exposure for the tonal contrast. V

Crazy!
Getting hard to live or work anywhere close to downtown. I'd never be
able to afford our home now a year later!

Oh, no. Hard for your landlord to pass up this opportunity. It's a shame you will have to leave this neighbourhood you love.
