hardly the place for demophobiacs, yet for most people one to revel in, and relax at, as the beach was overflowing with the positive vibe that summer weather brings to a Pacific Northwest city

A lively beach scene, but not my cup of tea at all ... more than four people constitutes a crowded place for me :-) But I enjoy seeing such scenes from a distance. V
