coiled

Jericho Beach Park

not sure which of us was more startled at this sudden encounter...the typically shy heron was in the act of snapping a fish from the pond as I came by, quickly swallowed it, then immediately coiled up for takeoff, and was airborne in a heartbeat, croaking it's discontent as it flew away to a quieter spot undisturbed by a prowling pbaser

Great Blue Herons are among numerous birds that live in this peaceful park

Excellent. The detail in "original" blew me away. Razor sharp feather detail and beautiful color. Even the feet details were spot on. Vote.
