Ortho Trauma...Vancouver General Hospital

a bit visceral to view, but this is what the docs have done to the left knee..a plate and some screws now hold the joint together...so far it seems to be working...the level of strength is pathetic..walking is more like shuffling, although clearly a step forward
this is admittedly a sloppy shot...there was not much opportunity to capture the relevant x-ray images, but grabbed a quick pic when it was possible...should be a lively moment when next I pass through an airport metal detector

Wow - that looks like a lot of hardware and a pretty complex set of fixes. I love Glenn's comment.

Wow, that really gives a feel for what you've been going through. I hope you continue to improve, but don't push it, David.

I hope you are recovering from such an extensive procedure. I would imagine that healing and regaining your strength will take some time. Go easy!

An impressive amount of hardware! Yikes! I would guess they will be sending you to physical therapy. Easy does it. Glad to hear you are moving forward.

My friend the bionic man. You really did it it in a big way. Will they leave the hardware in or will they at some point remove it Right now it looks like a walking hardware store. I am really glad the worst is over for your.

We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, stronger, faster.

My goodness, I had no idea that the repair would be so extensive. Thank modern medicine that has this ability to heal you. I hope mending is steady, David.
