fresh

on a recent fresh day, a walk around Kits Point, and a brief stop at this marina near the Maritime Museum...some boats are part of their display, others, like the small passenger ferry at the end of the dock, come and go frequently

As for the main ship here, 'North Star' of Herschel Island, built in 1935 in San Francisco, is the last of the sailing Arctic cargo ships. She is the only fully rigged ship in Canada. She was used from 1936 to 1961 for transport of the winter’s catch of fur to market, and for transportation of supplies from Aklavik and Tuktoyaktuk to Sachs Harbour on Banks Island, when ice conditions permitted sea navigation

Well seen super shot, I also like the old vs new and the way the masts seem in alignment with the tower blocks.

A beautiful ship and a work horse at that. Hard to believe it use to make the
Arctic run. The backdrop is classic Vancouver scenic. V

An interesting assortment of craft David. I like the clinker-built dingy hanging from the davits on the North Star.
