situations

it's all very well to trip down the sidewalk and pick up on local colour...some merchants face more shattering situations though...a street-level window was always going to be problematic..

I missed this one. Dramatic color and sobering at the same time.

The dominate color really makes a powerful statement ~V~

Wonderful blue tones and while the shattered glass is a concern for the shop owner it worked out well for this image. V

I do not think the owner will be very happy of this vandal act, but at least you were able to make a fantastic pic out of it with this light. BV

A consignment shop is not the best place to be AT NIGHT! Often located in parts of town, where its dangerous! Great exposure and documentary!

Looks like someone tried to get a five finger discount...their distress, your success!

It's a shame that someone would destroy the window but it does make for an intriguing photo. Nice night image. I like the blue tones.

Looks like someone had designs on clothes- an interesting street scene and certainly slightly disturbing. Well seen.

A disheartening sight for the owner and the insurance co. Very effective blue tone.

Great colour
Peter Sussex24-Feb-2013 21:14
Broken touch of blue... and looks awesome. What is good for a photographer is not always good for a shopkeeper, I feel sorry for him/her though and frown all kind of vandalism. V
Dan Greenberg24-Feb-2013 21:08
And the local color in this case is definitely blue. Very cool capture and excellent story telling image. ~V~
Helen Betts24-Feb-2013 21:06
Yikes, that's not good. But beautiful, almost other worldly, color and dramatic detail in the cracked glass. V.
Alain Boussac24-Feb-2013 20:51
The atmosphere of the dramatic subject is increased by the color of the light. V.
