Monument Valley Tribal Park, Utah/Arizona

there is a constant flow of people right along the ridge where the View Hotel and the visitor centre sit...the flurry of cameras and tripods is remarkable as the classic view of the Mittens is captured from here

Interesting how each photographer has their own stance, from the perfectly erect to the doubled up in a squat. Nice one. V

One for the history books I think! That guy in the forefront looks like he has a MF or view camera. Basking in that warm glow of light....

Yep. Reminds me of my brief visit there. You look to be close to that rock outcrop that attracts tourists like a magnet.

Lots of photographers for sure! Whenever you see the mittens photos it is always so quiet looking. Interesting that in order to get the shot you must deal with the crowds. V

I am not a fan of crowds, but perhaps they don't detract from the magnificence of the landscape. V

I did the same, standing there, but without a tripod and with film 20 years ago! The light is suberb!

I like how you avoided the obvious shot!

This is a great capture of the 'hubbub,' David, that must be a daily occurrence here.
The light and colour are wonderful.
