crazy

temperatures have been rising over a few days of sunshine, and yesterday was crazy hot..an attempt to go down to the seaside proved futile as all the parking lots were full and the streets jammed with heavy traffic circulating slowly looking for a spot to leave the car

instead I came back home, and decided to try out a new lens...my employers had given me a $600 gift certificate for a huge electronics store to mark 30 years of work...I checked out various laptops and tablets, televisions and even vacuum cleaners, but of course ended up in the camera department, deciding on a Nikkor 70-300mm lens...unfortunately they had only one for display and none to sell, so settled for the 55-300mm instead....it seems alright, not for everyday use, but does have a good reach

Nikon D7000
Nikkor 55-300mm - 1/1250s f/10.0 at 300.0mm iso250 full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

Too hot to touch so the long lens was appropriate. Congratulations on receiving the lovely gift.

Same as Laine ..... its the humidity that pushes you over the edge!! Great new lens .... takes a clear shot.

what----only about 97? I'll trade. That lens sounds like it
will work out fine in your hands. V

Congratulations on the lovely new toy....I'm loving winter right now because I hate temps that high...you can add 90% humidity to mine and that's a killer :0)

Scorchio! The lens and the vacuum cleaner are probably the two with the best longevity - but who wants to raise all that dust - it might find its way into the camera!! You made the right choice :o)

Still continuous rain here! Hope you enjoy your new lens. V.

Crazy is right, we're roasting in the interior also. A much welcome
change from constant rain and dreadful flooding though. V.

Looking forward to seeing what your new lens can do! Much better choice than a vacuum cleaner.
There seems to be no medium with the weather patterns right now, I guess heat it a good result as long as you also have ways to get cool.

Difficult to keep a cool head until the moment of purchases... you seem to have made a good acquisition, David. V.

You know the weather is crazy when it is 12C warmer in Vancouver than San Diego. Things are just beginning to warm up here. Today the first morning without fog since mid-April.
