off-kilter

a rigorously symmetrical view of city hall proved impossible thanks to trees and flower beds...ah well, perhaps slightly off-kilter better suits the crazy world of civic politics

A wonderful image and a nod to the off-kilter world of politics, as you say! V

asymmetrical is good here; nice bands of light, hint of a flag, and well lit windows, some with branch patterns: like an ascending triple-tiered layer cake, of sorts!

I really like those horizontal lines too. The clock and the flag top this image off nicely. V

I like the underexposure highlighting the pattern of horizontal lines of
light at various altitudes. V

Nice how the horizontal lights are wide at the bottom and shorten as they go up to draw the eye up to the clock, which is the most prominent feature to start, and in perfect focus. V

the bright red glowing clock breaks the severity of the architectural style of this building! V
