transition

it’s a messy, mucky time of year during the transition from autumn to winter...a slippery time too with snow added to the cold soup of decaying leaves...the intrepid old Nikonmobile did slither successfully down the street though

Doesn't look like a lot of fun. I don't know what is better -- a faster transition or more of a delay to the full onslaught of winter.

I'll bet those roads are slick with the leaves and the snow! Hopefully it will warm up and then get windy. Then all your snow will be gone and the leaves will blow away. Well taken shot. V

What a mess! The snow looks wet and heavy. Funny, we haven't had any snow yet. My snow tires are going on on Thursday.

I was gonna say , fallen leaves still falling and the snow is already on the ground . But seem what we have here too , just a bit more snow .

You've captured this seasonal aspect well here with its variety of colours and textures. It would be nice to do a Rip Van Winkle on weather like that for the next couple of months.
