Burns Bog, Pacific Spirit Park

Saturday was very hot, in the afternoon reaching 35 C (95F), so going for a walk seemed a daunting prospect...luckily there is a huge forest nearby, and the shade it offers was just the solution...the boardwalk through this section is designed to channel people on one route through an area where an old peat bog is undergoing restoration...many plants here are small and delicate

Still is beautiful and would be a beautiful walk. I'd love to have 95 degrees....10+ degrees less than we have.

I looked at this earlier but wanted to think about it. I like the bench where you can sit and plot your course. Then there is the never-ending walkway that leads you into the forest primeval. Nice to take a basket lunch and make it an afternoon with the birds serenading above. V

You chose the perfect vantage point for your composition David. Nice job with the exposure. Funny to think I am 1,500 miles south of you and the temperature is 25F cooler. "V"
