crooked

Lombard Street, San Francisco

back in the 1920's this stretch of Lombard Street proved too steep for the cars of the era to climb, so the gradient was softened by introducing a zig-zag pattern on the sudden slope...this day there was an endless procession of cars going down the so-called 'crookedest street in the world'...all driving slowly...very slowly

Some classy real estate over looking this very attractive and popular road. and yes you do go slow:-) Neat perspective on this David...
Walter Otto Koenig08-May-2011 18:34
The mechanics must love this road as this is a great way to wear out brake pads and rotors. Your shot really shows how steep this is, and nice that you got the photographer with a reach in the frame as well.
