triumph

Hayes Valley, San Francisco

this narrow yet long park represents a triumph for local activists who fought off plans for a freeway through Hayes Valley...it's named Patricia's Green in honour of a leading person in the struggle who has since passed away...the huge metal sculpture is appropriately titled 'Ecstasy'

A great example of 'People Power' - looks like a nice place to sit and relax while
the dogs exercise.

What a wonderful story...and a suitably 'street' shot to illustrate it! I like the bounding dogs :o)

A fascinating and elegant statue, which embellished the park by providing a touch of fantasy and freedom! V

Bravo to the people for standing up for this park...High Line Park has a similar history here.. Great depth here, and a nice capture of the relaxed atmosphere!

A great place for people to relax and dogs to frolic. So much nicer than a freeway.
