Our wakeup call was set at 4:30 AM to prepare for the assault half an hour later. The hike from the saddle to the summit took less than 30 minutes. The view was spectacular from the sea of clouds to the sunrise and the mist that covered the summit later on as the clouds draw near. Finally, I have seen the magnificent view at Mt. Pulag and walked above the clouds.

We started our descend at 9 AM via the Ambangeg route and reached the ranger station past noon. A jeepney drove us to a one hour rough road before we arrived at the DENR office to logout. It took us another 3 hours before we arrived at Baguio City where we had our dinner. All trips to Manila were fully booked for the rest of the day. Our return trip was scheduled past midnight.
