Pai former forest

Three years ago this area was still a thick forrest. The Lisu tribe (originally from china) burn down trees in the dry season and spray illegal agrotoxicks on other vegatation.

Every year, many hectares of land are being stripped of their natural vegetation. This ground is owned and protected by the government !!!
When the soil is exhausted, denuded hills are left behind. It takes about 50 years for a thick forrest with insects and other animals to grow back. Thai government does not get involved because of a language barrier between them and the hilltribes. Unfortunately the decay and littering of the forrest therefor still continues. I am sorry to say this
