Imperial Palace, Tokyo

These are a few pictures, all from the outside, of the Imperial Palace in the center of Tokyo. Naturally, it was closed the day we were there but the grounds themselves and the outside is simply spectacular.

There were several people just relaxing and enjoying this obvious oasis in the middle of a huge city. One of the many gates at the Palace Gardens You can see the runners to the left of the picture. The Grounds are a haven for joggers and very popular even in the middle of the very, very hot day.
