What an incredible thing to watch a sunset unfold at a pristine beach, melting away into the ocean, dreamily slipping into a sleepy twilight. I found a number of interesting views of the perfect sunset. I look for the unusual vantage points, things fresh and unexpected. The sea oats caught my eye to use as a visual element, swaying less than an inch away from my lens. I think I succeeded in capturing some rather striking moments. The shots were taken at Sand Key Park, off the South end of Clearwater Beach, FL. There was a very large storm boiling behind those "innocent" sweeping cloudscapes. I discovered this on my way home, a torrential monsoon, 3-5 inches per hour in some areas. Imagine the amount of water contained in suspension in those clouds, millions of cubic yards of moisture. How something so heavy can stay aloft so easily....incredible. Enjoy God's creation and the endless wonders of beauty He provides for us to richly enjoy!
