Stay Apart Together by Spencer Tunick

I didn't really remember much if anything about posing for Spencer Tunick in 1999 at Burning MAn until someone I Was there with patiently told me the story from several angles until it made more sense. That was a long time ago!Well either way, I knew of his work from moving to Manhattan in 2001.
Flas forward many years, on May Day 2020 I participated in Series 5 of Spencer Tunick's online shoots for Stay Apart Together.
Thanks to @spencertunick and @Studio___333 and all their helping partners for their work.
This link to an instagram post has a short loop of the process -how it went on Zoom:

With the photos, came thanks: On behalf of Studio 3333 we want to thank you for being part of “Stay Apart Together”. It has been a great experience co-curating and producing this world-wide, virtual, communal artistic experience alongside amazing artist Spencer Tunick.

Message by Spencer Tunick: I want to thank everyone who participated in Stay Apart Together in these trying times. I wish you, your family and friends continued safety and avoidance of COVID-19. If you were sick or know someone who was, I hope that you/they had a speedy recovery.
If my art project took your mind off of the daily routine and the pandemic, that alone has made it a success. I tried to bring you into the fantastical world of the possibilities of creating and making art in times of crisis, to heal, to connect and to lift your spirits. This certainly took me out of a deep depression. Thank you for this.

I do not take any person’s time and commitment for granted and I truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your participation. I hope to meet everyone in person one day after the pandemic passes. Kindly post your images and if you print them out display them with pride.
The making of and the final photographic artworks mean to such to me, I am so proud to share the results with you.
Let’s all thank @Studio___333 in Mexico for making this happen. Please follow my work and pose for me in the flesh, in the future! Thank you, Spencer

-----Hi, Then Dogg and I answered a call to pose on Election night with a mix of couples and individuals. That is the next photo. Finally, Jakob S. of Denmark reached out to me and asked if I would like to submit a proposal to be part of the Diptych series by this same talented group and I liked the idea. We had both been in one of the previous shoots together. We wrote offering our story -we both have been working at universities during the pandemic. We talked about what books we have read, about the vaccine and it's availability... For whatever reasons, the proposal was accepted and we shot the diptych on 4/20 (smoke up, Johnny!) I was less nervous and more grateful that our bodies would be represented in this project. All humans have this... this body thing. and we are trying to figure it out.
To those who celebrate life, and their bodies, I salute you!
