Mission San Juan Capistrano, the seventh mission in a chain of twenty-one, was founded November 1, 1776 by Father Junipero Sierra. The original Serra Chapel is still standing in which Father Sierra is know to have celebrated the sacraments in the early 1920's. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens, the bell walls, the barracks, that housed about six spanish soldiers, and shelters that was made of braches and tule leaves for housing the Juanefio Indians. Great history and great place to visit.
