From the log: Friday, 17 July
Engine on, We warped boat around the corner of the dock and had no problems departing from Brewer Pilots Point in Westbrook CT. Sunny, wind from our nose of course,so engine only.
Very uneventful. Bob watched ~100 terns fishing. Not many boats, water starting to look glassy.
At anchor in Pt. Jefferson again. Wind showing ~10 from the South as predicted. Bob had tried job for about 5 minutes—no help. So a real motor day. No one is anchored anywhere near us. Probably won't be since tomorrow's weather sounds wet.
From the log: Saturday, 18 July
3 sailboats at anchor: a catamaran, a Beneteau and us. Mostly quiet night, some wind.
Started hearing thunder. Took lots of pictures of a white egret unsuccessfully fishing.
Rain stopped.
Sun almost fully out.
