Johnsons Lake

Johnsons Lake, Byram, New Jersey view map

This is a wild lake. During the summer it weeds over and canoeing is almost impossible. When the weeds die off in the fall we can put our canoe back in the water. Fishing is only possible, if you find a deeper spot. Swans, geese, and ducks love it here. We also have a beaver that builts dams. A great blue heron stalks along the shores. During summer nights we can hear a loud concert lead by bullfrogs, chicadas, and other wild night life.
