Pensive Man from Leeds
Heading down Loch Nevis towards the "remotest area in Britain".
Path to Inverie, possibly the remotest village in Britain
In 1997 the Knoydart Foundation was formed and by 1999 had taken over the Estate. The aim of the Foundation was to
"preserve, enhance and develop Knoydart for the well being of the environment and the people".
Lunch at the Old Forge Pub
Guiness (!) and Potato and Leek Soup
The most remote pub in Britain !
Walk around Inverie
The only person we meet, walking around Inverie, is a lonely man with his dog.
Our walk takes us past beautiful views of Loch Nevis
Inverie Forest Trail
We branch off on the Forest Trail to return to the village
and a hot bowl of soup at the pub.
Loch Nevis Farm
After our visit to Inverie we return to "Western Isles" and head further up Loch Nevis. I'm sure this is the remotest farm in the UK.
