Beebread or Starflower

I thought this was a weed at first, coming up all over, but it's
a very beneficial plant which bees love and has medicinal benefits.

That looks remarkably like our Camelbush, Trichodesma zeylanicum, a sub-shrub of hot arid places. I struggle to image the one I know growing in Canada!

however they are classified they are certainly attractive....the deep red stems play well with the blue flowers..

even weeds can be pretty and I don't think there is a border between them and wildflowers

I planted this a few years ago for the bees. As you know the bees and the hummers love it. Now it has become a weed comes up everywhere! If it comes up in the right place I'll leave it for awhile! So it can become a weed, not that that is a bad thing.
