Yes, Gill, nature's ability to provide very effective camouflage is simply amazing. Here in SE Australia, we have Tawny Frogmouths with equally amazing ability to blend in. Take a look on my bird page for some large pics.
Don't you just find these a bugger to photograph? They never stand still, and are so bland that it's hard to get an interesting shot. At least that's my experience.
