There was this one which I'd expect you'd already seen: http://www.pbase.com/gillettecraig/image/30556937

Yes, I've added some to the Harbor and Fireboats Gallery. They aren't great but may help. I may have some others but it may take a bit of looking, I don't really recall if they are Crowley tugs or fireboats as they tie up quite close to each and are similarly colored. I'll have to search a little more extensively. I may also have a couple from one of the other companies which I'll add if I find.

Hi Craig, Your daughters age is quite relevant to the degree of distraction she would be, this is the mast I went uphttp://www.hmsgangesassoc.org/mast.html at 15 we did not get to go out of the training establishment so we had to find things to do in the place, and on a nice Sunday afternoon quite a few of us would go up the mast and read the Sunday Papers and just look around, what a shame the one roll of film I shot in my browny box has been lost, I never stood on the button, just sat on it, but could not trust the lightening conductor to take my weight (or I was Chicken).
I have been back to the old house btw and will post some shots soon.
Jim

Craig, you have been a great help thank you so much.

I like so many have just taken our history for granted, The house I grew up in is about 500 years old and all I can tell you about it is that it used to be the Manour House, was later used as the Post Office and is now being used as a Hairdressers.( I wish PBase had a spell checker) I must go and get some photos of the old house and look up its history.
Again thanks
Jim

Well I hope they help. I'm not that good at it but have fun trying. That's such a stunningly beautiful area. Even the road offers a lot of interest, I've seen everything from vintage early 1900's race and touring cars to the Lamborghini Club zoom (or sputter)by.

I got your galleries from fredmiranda because I'm planning a trip to Big Sur. I look forward to seeing the sites in person, and to hopefully make some good photos. Oddly enough, I live not far from you in Montclair. Happy shooting!

Hi Craig,
Thank you for your nice note on my Arizona gallery. I enjoy finding out about the history of what I photograph. I toured your galleries and I especially loved all your trains shots and sunset shots. Very nice work!
Best wishes to you and yours for a Happy Holiday,
Peg Price

Actually live out in the Chino area. But we had/have some favorite restaurants down in San Pedro and get down there often - it's a pretty rich area for photography, or at least the kinds I do.

Thanks Craig for leaving a comment in my scotssoccer gallery. For what it's worth I'm sure you'd look great in a kilt....even in LA (this was Amsterdam and everyone loved them).
