from Tom Fudakowski: I worked with Frances in Cartierville Tower for a couple of weeks; as that was a mandatory process when one qualified in Dorval Tower and was assigned to work there. Frances was one of the first female controllers along with Marg Dunseith (Toronto) and Edna Dierden also at Cartierville. When Cartierville closed Frances went to St Hubert along with all the staff except for Edna who stayed in Cartierville as the lone controller to handle the Canadair flights on a 9 to 5 basis weekdays. To my knowledge Frances always lived on the lakeshore. She did try to requalify in Dorval when CV closed to reduce the commute but after a while decided she preferred GA type traffic and did go to YHU.
from Phil Gies: When I went to Cartierville in May 1967, Frances was one of the first to welcome me. Always a good person to work with, she had a positive attitude and really did enjoy the hectic circuit traffic of Cartierville.
