Boyd Jerome Biddiscombe.    March 2, 2025

Boyd J. Biddiscombe, of Camden Park Terrace, Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Roy and Emma (Lowry) Biddiscombe.

Boyd was a retired Air Traffic Controller with 32 years service and a life-long passion for planes, aviation and air travel. He was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Blue Jays. Boyd always looked forward to a good steak BBQ, a heaping plate of spaghetti and meatballs, or his sister's egg salad sandwiches! Boyd loved reading, music and photography, and he was a talented artist and piano player.

Boyd will be sadly missed by his sister, Theresa Sloan and brother-in-law, Mike, of Bedford, NS; sister-in-law, Mercia Biddiscombe of Moncton; nieces Nicole and Stacey; nephews, Rodney, Adam and Tyler; his twelve great nieces and great nephews; his good friend Joanie, and many extended family members. In addition to his parents, Boyd was predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Edward “Ned” and Gerard.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Service to Celebrate and Honor Boyd’s Life at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 10:30 am. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment to be held in St. Lawrence O’Toole Roman Catholic Cemetery, Irishtown, later in the spring of 2025.

Memorial donations in Boyd’s memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences for Boyd’s family can be shared at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com

from Phil Gies: I worked on the same crew as Boyd in the Montreal air traffic control from 1969 to 1976. A good man to work beside, always competent, always pleasant. Boyd would bring us back bags of dulce and fiddleheads from his frequent trips to the Maritimes. Rest in peace my friend.
