Built in 1866 for the Brecon and Merthyr Railway Company to carry it over the Taff Fechan river. It has seven arches with a lengh of 138 metres with a height of 28 metres. It was listed as a Grade II structure in 1975. Because of the steep gradients, the longest continuous on any railway in the UK, the line acquired the unfortunate nickname of 'The Breakneck and Murder Railway' due to it's many accidents.
