Chapel of Bones

The Capela dos Ossos is one of the best-known monuments in Évora, Portugal.
It is a small interior chapel located next to the entrance of the Church of St. Francis.
The Chapel gets its name because the interior walls are covered and decorated with human skulls and bones.

What an odd way to decorate a chapel! I wouldn't stick around either. V

you kept your cool despite the morbid scene, which is fascinating in a strange way....the christian cruxifiction itself is also a grim and ghastly symbol..

Nicely captured, but I find the wall decoration a bit gruesome. V.
