Main Temple of Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat temple was damaged over the centuries by earthquakes, plant growth, looting, and wars.

There were even shootouts at Angkor during the Khmer Rouge control in the 1970s. Only the ruins remain now.

Today, the Angkor Wat is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
