Hoogstraten is een plaats en stad in de Belgische provincie Antwerpen. De stad ligt in de Kempen, tegen de grens
met Nederland. Hoogstraten telt ruim 18.500 inwoners, waarvan 3.446 inwoners (meer dan 15%) uit Nederland komen.

Hoogstraten is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the city
of Hoogstraten proper and the towns of Meer, Meerle, Meersel-Dreef,Minderhout and Wortel. (Meersel-Dreef
includes the northernmost point in Belgium.) 2006 Hoogstraten had a total population of< 18,500. The total
area is 105.32 km² which gives a population density of 176 inhabitants per km².
