Wat Samian Nari, วัดเสมียนนารี, is a civil temple built in King Rama V's reign and originally called Wat Khae Rai. The name Wat Samian Nari (ligerally means 'female clerk') was derived from Samian Kham, the prime donor for temple construction, who was a female clerk in the royal treasury in the King Rama V period. Inside the Ubosot (Ordination Hall) which is of a Thai architectural style with stucco and gilded decoration, the Principal Buddha Image called Phra Sakkaya Buddhawongmuni is enshrined. In 1988 the temple was chosen by the Department of Religious Affairs as a Good Development Example Monastery of Bangkok.

วัดเสมียนนารี เป็นวัดราษฎร์ สร้างในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๕ ชาวบ้านนิยมเรียกกันว่า วัดแคราย ชื่อ วัดเสมียนนารี นั้น มีที่มาจาก ท่านเสมียนขำ ซึ่งเป็นผู้บริจาคทรัพย์และดำเนินการสร้างวัด ท่านเป็นสุภาพสตรี มีตำแหนงเป็น เสมียนท้องพระคลัง ฝ่ายในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๕ ภายในพระอุโบสถมีพระประธาน นามว่า พระศรีศากยะพุทธวงศ์มุนี อุโบสถเป็นศิลปกรรมแบบไทย มีลวดลายปูนปั้น หน้าบัน ซุ้มประตู หน้าต่าง เสา ช่อฟ้าใบระกาลงรักปิดทอง นอกจากนี้ ในปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๓๑ ทางวัดได้รับการยกย่องจากกรมการศาสนา ให้เป็น วัดพัฒนาตัวอย่างของกรุงเทพมหานคร
