Bodhi Trees are a common element of Thai Wats.
The Bodhi Tree is the Banyan Tree under which the Lord Buddha sat when he achieved Enlightenment.
Many of the Wat Bodhi Trees are said to be scions of that same tree in India.
โพธิต้นไม้เป็นองค์ประกอบทั่วไปของวัดเบญจมบพิตรไทย ต้นโพธิ์เป็นที่บันยันทรีตามที่พระพุทธเจ้าประทับเมื่อเขาประสบความสำเร็จในการตรัสรู้ หลายของต้นไม้วัดโพธิ์จะกล่าวว่าเป็นทายาทของต้นไม้เดียวกันกับที่ในประเทศอินเดีย
