Stoa of Attalos

Athens

It was first build about the year 150 BC by Attallus II, king of Pergamon.
The Stoa of Attalos was discovered during the excavations carried out by the Greek Archaeological Society between 1859 and 1902.

In 1953-56 it was reconstructed in order to house the finds from the excavations at the Agora.

The 16th of April 2003, here took place the accession treaty signing ceremony of the ten new European Union Member States.

I love it, also for the meaning it has and the symbol it represents...The perspective you chose enhances all the effect.
